Back in 1997 when Moke (Clara) and I got our first computer and hit the Net, we were SO amazed at all the 'free' resources out there.   Having enjoyed and gotten so much enjoyment, we wanted a site of our own to put some of the 'cool' places and gadgets we came across up for others to enjoy! We didn't know a thing about how to do it but hey, there's all those free resources and tools to learn!   In May of 1998 we officially launched Phil & Moke's Secret Free Place, the rest is history.   Learning to build a website with 'quality' resources (it became a 'passion' to find the right 'goodies') was one thing but, how are people gonna find us?   That's when I got heavily involved in promotion, networking and marketing (that became a 'passion' too!).   That's why after all these years, Phil & Moke's Secret Free Place is still a very popular destination!

MaxPatch Ink Supplies [maxpatchink.com] was born (1999) out of a desire to put those marketing/business skills to use!   I knew that to be successful we had to have a 'niche' product so I researched/brainstormed and 'viola', there's an awful lot of computers out there and most all have a printer attached and, they all run out of ink!   Buying ink supplies retail was quite a shock our first time!   That's when I discovered that the printer manufacturers employ the 'ole 'razor and razor blade' marketing model.... inexpensive printers, but ya gotta put their expensive ink cartridges in them so they'll keep working!   I naturally used the Net to find out all I could about inkjet printers and what alternatives might be out there for us consumers to have a choice!   Most folks don't even know that there are quality alternatives to the OEM products and at pretty significant savings!   It's been a little over 2 years now and we continue to grow at a steady yet rapid rate.... customers from coast to coast, highly satisfied ones at that!   That's the other side of our equation, Outstanding Customer Service!   It's not enough to have quality products.... great customer service is the key, it's our "Golden Rule".
