Movie Wavs -- The Best Way To Find Wav Files From Your Favorite Movie.
The Daily Wav -- Every weekday, a new wav file for your listening/downloading pleasure from various films and tv shows.
The Wav Surfer -- A huge collection of sound effects. Very different. Not your typical wav sound site.
Wave Splitter -- From Claudiosoft, a freeware utility that allows you to extract a sample from a wav file without loading it into memory. No matter how big your source wav file is. If you want to sample a part of it, you can do it very quickly, without wasting ram(memory).
CD Database -- Gracenote, the world's largest online database of audio cd information. Now your computer can display album, artist and song names right on the screen as your cd plays. You need a cddb-enabled cd player, but there are several available for download in their cd players section. This is completely free.
Rockmine - The internet's largest rock music resource full of trivia and other cool stuff.
Winamp -- A fast, flexible, high-fidelity music player for windows 95/98/nt. This excellent player supports MP3, CD, Audiosoft, Audio Explosion, MOD, WAV and other audio formats. It also supports custom appearances (skins), audio visualization and audio effect plug-ins.
Microsoft Windows Media Player -- Designed to let you play most file formats with "one" easy to use player. You can play most file formats, including Windows Media, ASF, RealVideo/RealAudio, MPEG-1/2, Wav, AVI, Midi, MOV, VOD, AU, MP3, and QuickTime Files. Save your favorite clip links for quick access and many more features.
Real Player & Real Jukebox -- The real player is available in a free version (although you really have to hunt for the place to click for it) and so is Real Jukebox, which enable you to organize tons of music tracks on your computer. The Real Player is almost an essential tool for any serious computer user, while the Real Jukebox is a handy tool for the serious audiophile.
Audiograbber -- A beautiful piece of software that grabs digital audio from your CD's. It copies the audio digitally - bypassing the sound card enabling you to make perfect copies. It can also automatically normalize the music, delete silence from the start and/or end of tracks, and create MP3 files automatically. Another great thing with this software is that it does not put a single file in your windows directories. No dll's, ocx's, device drivers, or whatever else that messes up the computer.

MusicSearch -- The internet's music-only search site, the 100% free, music-only resource on the web. Over 20,000 listings and 100 music-related sites all from one form.
Spinner.com -- The world's first and largest multi-channel music service. Here, you'll find spinner plus 1.5, the free downloadable, stand-alone application that sits on your desktop and gives you access to over 100 unique channels and 150,000 songs without the need for a web browser or any additional plug-ins.
Net Player -- Listen to any mp3 on the net without downloading it. With net player streaming client you can listen to any mp3 on the fly. Just drag and drop the link into explorer or netscape into the net player window and it will start playing. Has a built-in equalizer and you can play from a disk as well. The streaming quality depends on your connection speed.
Planet Midi -- A well-organized site with hundreds of sound files in categories ranging from Rock to Classical to TV & Film Themes, Video Game Midi's, and loads of info on midi files.
MP3 Search -- Over 500,000 of the freshest cd-quality mp3s! This is the world's largest mp3 site. Just type in the name of your favorite band or song title and let mp3 search do the rest.
Planet.MP3Find -- "Find any song, by any artist in under 30 seconds!!" That's their claim. By utilizing the latest in internet technology, this tool automatically locates and determins mp3 music servers which are online! Via it's windows explorer like interface you can see exactly what's availaible before connecting to the ftp site.
WavCentral.com -- Your one-stop-shop for .Wav and .Au multimedia files. Their library is always expanding to include even more popular movies, television series, commercials, and hundreds of effects. Very nice!

Exact Audio Copy -- EAC is a new audio grabber for CD-ROM drives. The main differences towards most other audio grabbers: Low registration costs (just a postcard and a stamp). It works with a new technology, reading audio CDs almost perfectly. If there are any errors that can't be corrected, it will tell you on which time position the (possible) distortion occurred, so you could easily control it with e.g. the media player.
Music.com -- A definite commercial site, but there are some free mp3's available for downloading on this page.
Dismuke's -- This site is devoted to vintage music from the early decades of the 20th Century. All recordings have been transcribed into streaming Real Audio from the original 78 rpm discs in my personal collection. It is my hope that this site will help further the creation of a new generation of enthusiasts for an exciting, vibrant and, sadly, all but forgotten era of American popular culture.
